Objective of Meeting

The Assured Dependability Work Group sought to provide an update on content progress made to the Open Dependability through Assuredness� Framework, also known as the O-DA� Framework, as it moves to Version 2.01, as well as to discuss the inclusion of security-related content in the Standard. The Assured Dependability Work Group also sought to discuss the creation of a Data Sheet and dedicated Web page for the Work Group on .

Summary

During the first half of the meeting, the Work Group Elected Officers provided updates on content changes to the O-DA Framework since the previous Work Group Members� Meeting at The Open Group 4Q2023 Houston Summit. The Elected Officers also provided an overview of where and how they saw security-related content becoming part of the O-DA Framework, with attending Members commenting and providing feedback on this content and process.

During the second half of the meeting, the Work Group Elected Officers worked with the Security Portfolio Forum Director John Linford and staff of The Open Group Marketing Team to brainstorm and iterate on content for inclusion in an Assured Dependability Work Group Data Sheet and in Web pages devoted to the Work Group on . This content is intended to underpin marketing efforts for the Work Group as efforts are made to increase awareness of both the Work Group and its Standard.

Outputs

The Assured Dependability Work Group Members� Meeting resulted in follow-up tasks for Work Group Members to continue to clarify and refine the value proposition of the O-DA Framework and its ability to cut across other Standards of The Open Group, particularly those for Security (particularly Zero Trust) and Enterprise Architecture. The meeting also resulted in follow-up action items for various of The Open Group staff to aid in developing marketing materials for the Work Group and to continue to support collaboration activities of Work Group Members.

Next Steps

Security Portfolio Forum Director John Linford will continue working to add existing content to the Work Group GitLab® Project for the O-DA Framework. John will also begin work on refining content for a Work Group Web page, and The Open Group Marketing Team will work to create this page and finalize and approve the proposed content.

The Assured Dependability Work Group Members will continue progressing on the next version of the O-DA Framework, focusing on clarity for value from use of the Framework in an organization.

The Assured Dependability Work Group will hold its next Members� Meeting in person at The Open Group 4Q2024 Houston Summit.
